The Farm Lodging FAQ

Q: Is there food available on the property?

Our Farm Kitchen is often busy catering events held at The Farm Event Center.  Sometimes, however, the kitchen is available for Culinary Escapes and cooking classes.  Call for pricing and availability.

Each of our cottages as well as Eagle Crest Lodge is equipped with a full kitchen.  Cabins have a “morning kitchen” with a small refrigerator, toaster, microwave and a coffee pot.

Q: What is a Culinary Escape?

Our Culinary Escapes are a perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a girls outing.  During the day, guests explore all Asheville has to offer.  Then they return to The Farm to relax after a day of adventure.

Our packages contain the following

  • 2 night stay in one of our well appointed cabins or cottages
  • 3 farm-to-table meals:  2 breakfasts and one gourmet dinner with a cooking demonstration by our Executive Chef, Mike Ferrari
  • Mid week participants can also join one of our cooking classes (space permitting)

Q: When are Culinary Escapes scheduled?

Culinary Escapes run over 3 days.  Guests check in on Day 1.  On Day 2, they enjoy breakfast in The Farm Kitchen and have the day to explore Asheville or just relax on the property.  They return to participate in our cooking demonstration and gourmet dinner and then retire for the evening.  On Day 3, there is another delicious breakfast before you head home.

Culinary Escapes are generally scheduled for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday or Friday/Saturday/Sunday.  Space is limited.  Call our office at (828) 667-0666 for availability.

We release a list of upcoming classes each quarter; usually offering 2 to 3 per month.  Folks interested in our classes can check on our website or sign-up to receive our e-news class schedule.
